Do Not Give Up

Let me tell you a popular story about Adab, a farmer who was on a mission to cut down a gigantic tree in the forest with his axe.

He took his axe and began to swing at the tree with all his might. With each swing, he made a small dent in the tree's trunk, but the tree stood tall, unshaken.

Hours passed, and still, the tree stood strong, seemingly unaffected by the Adab's efforts. In fact, other farmers thought he was wasting his time and told him to give up and go home.

However, Adab despite growing tired and weary, refused to give up. He was on a mission, and he had to complete it.

In his mind, he had already seen the tree fall flat; it was only a matter of time before what he had envisioned became a reality in the earthly realm.

Adab persisted, and finally, after what seemed like an eternity of effort, he delivered one last powerful blow with his axe and the tree fell flat.

𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞. Instead, it was the culmination, or compounding, of all Adab's previous attempts.

Each strike weakened the tree until it could no longer stand tall against the force of Adab's mission and determination.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭. 𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐝𝐝 𝐮𝐩 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧.
