Do You Know Your Destination?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 '𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚' 𝐬𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐦 [𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭] 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲. (𝐄𝐜𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟏𝟓 (𝐀𝐌𝐏), 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞).

Each time I meditate on this verse, I replace ‘city’ with destination, because it brings it home for me. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣! 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚?

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞:

💡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐝) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐦𝐚𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐮𝐬.

In the fast-paced world of professional life, we often find ourselves caught up in daily responsibilities, tirelessly working to achieve our career goals. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself, "𝘈𝘮 𝘐 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩?"

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:

• 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿? This speaks to our life's purpose.
• 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲? This speaks to our impact.
• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲? This speaks to our legacy.

A life without purpose is meaningless, and a life without direction is aimless.

💡𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲.

When we lack wisdom and knowledge, we risk exhausting ourselves with fruitless efforts. We may find ourselves working hard but not making meaningful progress, simply because we haven't taken the time to define our goals and map out a path to reach them.

𝙄𝙜𝙣𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙮 𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣, 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙮.

Investing in our personal and professional development allows us to acquire the wisdom and skills necessary to navigate life and career complexities and make informed decisions.

As we go into a new week, with all the hustle and bustle, let us take a moment to:
📍reflect on our goals and the steps we need to take to reach them.
📍seek wisdom and guidance from those who have walked the path before us so that our labour is not in vain, and we can confidently navigate the path to success.

Remember, it's not just about working hard, but also about working wisely. When we combine diligence with purpose and direction, we can rise above the ordinary, achieve remarkable things and find fulfilment in life.
