Future and Hope

𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 [𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝], 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟. - 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐬 𝟐𝟑:𝟏𝟖 (𝐀𝐌𝐏).

As I meditate on this verse, two key phrases stand out for me:

♦ Future and a reward.

♦ Hope and expectation.

The interesting thing is this: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞.
