When Pain Speaks

If you are going through emotional pain or hurt, this is for you.

The Bible tells us about a man named Jabez, meaning "sorrow maker."

His mother gave him that name because she gave birth to him in pain.

Those words said during a temporary labour pain altered Jabez's destiny. How do I know this?

The bible tells us Jabez was more honourable than his brothers until pain was spoken into his destiny.

What did Jabez do? He cried to God!

The part of his prayer that caught my attention was: "๐ค๐ž๐ž๐ฉ ๐ฆ๐ž ๐Ÿ๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ, ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ˆ ๐ฆ๐š๐ฒ ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐œ๐š๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ข๐ง!"

Jabez didn't want to bleed on others. What an honourable man, truly.

๐‡๐ž๐ซ๐ž'๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐จ ๐ฐ๐ก๐ž๐ง ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐š๐ข๐ง ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ :

โ†’ Keep quiet. Do not speak in the heat of the moment. If you do, you are guaranteed to misspeak.

โ†’ If you must speak, let it be to God. Surrender that pain to him. He will heal you completely, and there will be no scar!

โ†’ Seek professional help. You know the saying, broken people break others? It's why Jabez prayed, "that I may not cause pain!"

๐ˆ๐Ÿ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐จ๐ง'๐ญ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฅ, ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐›๐ฅ๐ž๐ž๐ ๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž.

Today, I pray Isaiah 61:3 over you.

You will be healed, and God will be glorified.
